My name is Olwyn and I am an Australian artist based in the Adelaide Hills.
Art is always something that I have turned to throughout my life. From cartooning to watercolours to sketching, I have been practising art. Like many others, I restarted an old hobby during the pandemic. I now am working with acrylic paints to create landscapes and animal portraits.
The natural world means a lot to me. I come from a family who are all incredibly passionate about biodiversity and conservation and this has influenced me greatly. I love to explore natural spaces and of course photograph scenes I will paint at a later stage.
I also like to paint things that mean something to me or others as having a meaning behind the piece makes it all the more special. I have loved doing commissions for new bride and grooms, new puppy owners and of some of your favourite places.
